CDT Calls for Privacy Balance in Domain Name Database

CDT has written to the House Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property urging it to consider the privacy concerns raised by the "Whois" database of personal contact information for domain name registrants. At the Subcommittee's hearing Thursday, witnesses called for new measures to force accuracy in the database.
